Job Description
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will be the principal authority on all security-related matters for our clients in Mashonaland Central Province. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader capable of developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies that protect people, assets, and information across various business operations. The CSO will be responsible for establishing a robust security posture, mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and fostering a culture of security awareness. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of physical security, cybersecurity principles, crisis management, and intelligence gathering, combined with exceptional leadership and communication skills. You will lead a dedicated security team, collaborate extensively with senior management, and be instrumental in safeguarding our clients’ interests in a rapidly evolving threat landscape. Your strategic insights will guide the adoption of advanced security technologies and best practices, making a tangible difference in operational resilience and continuous improvement of security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures for physical security, cybersecurity, and operational security.
- Lead and manage the security department, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development of security personnel.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, recommending and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Establish and maintain robust incident response plans, crisis management protocols, and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international security regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
- Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies, including access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and cybersecurity tools.
- Collaborate with senior management, IT, HR, and other departments to integrate security considerations into all business processes and initiatives.
- Manage security budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize security investments and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert advice and briefings to the executive team on emerging security threats, trends, and risk landscapes.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for all employees.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external security agencies, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership in security management, including team leadership and strategic planning.
- Expertise in physical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Excellent crisis management and incident response planning capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance pertinent to security operations.

- Master's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
