Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead caregivers and educators in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, and mealtimes.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
  • Help children with personal care routines, such as toilet training, napping, and handwashing.
  • Observe and report any behavioral issues, developmental concerns, or accidents to senior staff.
  • Prepare snacks and assist with meal distribution, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's day as instructed by lead staff.
  • Support the implementation of daily schedules and routines.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience working with young children (ages 0-6).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Cache Level 2/3, Nanny Certification).
  • Experience in a nursery, daycare, or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with early childhood development principles.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Arabic, Tagalog, Hindi).
