Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of childcare practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and compliant environment for all children.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs and activities aligned with early years frameworks.
- Maintain excellent communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and OFSTED requirements.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's development, providing feedback to staff and parents.
- Manage staff rotas and allocate duties effectively to ensure optimal child-to-staff ratios.
- Facilitate staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Handle parent inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong relationships.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience within a childcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of early childhood development and relevant educational frameworks (e.g., EYFS).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing engaging learning activities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred Qualifications
- A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children's Learning and Development).
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Designated Safeguarding Lead training.
- Experience with childcare management software.
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
