Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the complete setup and teardown of event spaces, including arranging furniture, audiovisual equipment, and decorations.
- Warmly greet and assist event attendees, providing directions, answering basic inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Provide light administrative support such as managing sign-in sheets, distributing programs, or collecting feedback forms.
- Ensure the event area remains clean, organized, and presentable before, during, and after events.
- Collaborate effectively with church staff, volunteers, and other event personnel to ensure seamless coordination.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, event guidelines, and venue policies.
- Assist with refreshment service, including setting up food and beverage stations and assisting with post-event clean-up.
- Be a proactive and helpful presence, anticipating needs and offering assistance where required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Highly reliable, punctual, and organized with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, walking, and moving for extended periods.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and service-oriented attitude.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated discretion and respect for the sensitive and spiritual nature of church environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event support, hospitality, customer service, or volunteer roles.
- Familiarity with church environments or community event coordination.
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
