Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer specializing in infrastructure and road construction to join our dynamic team in Guiseley, Leeds. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of various infrastructure projects, with a focus on highways, roads, and associated civil works.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform design decisions.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and other specialist engineering tools for design and analysis.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering, specifically in infrastructure and road construction.
  • Proven expertise in highway design, geometric design, pavement engineering, and drainage systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of relevant UK design standards (e.g., DMRB, MCHW).
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional institution (e.g., ICE).
  • Experience with other relevant design software (e.g., MicroDrainage, MXROAD).
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles and applications.
  • Experience in client liaison and contractor management.
