This is a critical role for an individual passionate about designing and delivering robust, sustainable, and impactful civil engineering solutions for a variety of projects within the region and beyond.

Our client, a well-established consultancy, is known for its commitment to excellence and innovative approaches in civil engineering. As a Civil Engineer, you will be instrumental in the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, tender preparation, and construction support. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on projects that directly influence the local community and regional connectivity.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply their extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, UK design standards (such as DMRB, Manual for Streets), and relevant software packages to develop high-quality engineering drawings and technical reports. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, environmental specialists, and urban planners, ensuring integrated and cohesive project delivery. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges. If you are driven by the prospect of developing infrastructure that stands the test of time, fostering community growth, and advancing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, we encourage you to apply. This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to leave a lasting legacy on the built environment.

We value continuous professional development and provide avenues for engineers to enhance their skills, pursue chartership, and stay at the forefront of industry best practices. Join a team where your technical expertise and commitment to quality will be recognized and rewarded, contributing significantly to projects that matter.

  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and communications are clear.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contract administration, and project cost estimations.
  • Ensure all designs comply with health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, and sustainability principles.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, value engineering, and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
