Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations and reviews of insurance claims from initial submission to final resolution.
  • Verify policy coverage, liability, and damages in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Approve or deny claims based on comprehensive analysis of documentation, evidence, and policy terms.
  • Negotiate fair and equitable settlements with claimants, policyholders, and third-party representatives.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with all stakeholders, explaining claim decisions and processes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claim records, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Collaborate with legal, underwriting, and other internal departments as necessary to resolve complex claims.
  • Identify and investigate potential fraud, escalating suspicious activities as per company protocol.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims adjusting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims department.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims adjusting or a similar role within the insurance industry.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex insurance policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and accurately.
  • Understanding of relevant legal and compliance frameworks pertaining to claims.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACII or Cert CII qualification.
  • Experience with specific types of claims (e.g., property, casualty, motor).
  • Background in customer service or client-facing roles.
