Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Claims Officer specializing in insurance processing to join our team in Thome, Nairobi. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process new insurance claims accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate proactively and empathetically with policyholders to gather necessary information, provide timely updates, and address all inquiries regarding their claims.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into claim circumstances, which includes interviewing involved parties, reviewing comprehensive documentation, and liaising with external loss adjusters or other experts.
  • Assess claim validity rigorously against specific policy terms and conditions, identifying any discrepancies, potential issues, or areas requiring further clarification.
  • Calculate appropriate claim settlements accurately and authorize payments in strict accordance with established guidelines, approval limits, and financial controls.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date claim records and comprehensive documentation within the designated claims management system.
  • Identify and promptly report suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims to the relevant departments for further investigation.
  • Collaborate effectively with underwriters, legal teams, and other internal departments to resolve complex claims and continuously improve claims processing workflows.
  • Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations, industry best practices, new product offerings, and market trends.
  • Prepare detailed claims reports and insightful analyses for management review, contributing to strategic decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in claims processing within the insurance industry.
