Key Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily activities, lesson preparation, and classroom management to maintain an orderly and engaging learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those requiring additional assistance with learning tasks, reading, or specific educational plans.
- Help prepare and organize learning materials, classroom displays, and resources to enhance the educational experience.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, including lunch breaks, playtime, and transitions between activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing constructive feedback to the classroom teacher to inform instructional strategies and student support.
- Support students with personal care needs or mobility, as required, fostering independence and dignity.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and welfare.
- Assist in the implementation of school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as requested to contribute to the wider school community.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
- Strong patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children of various ages and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Experience with special educational needs (SEN) support.
