Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning aids, and visual displays.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and lunch breaks, ensuring a safe environment.
- Support classroom management, helping to maintain a positive and disciplined atmosphere.
- Observe and report on student progress and behavior to the lead teacher.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, grading, and parent communications as directed.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

- Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Care, or a related field.
- Previous experience (6+ months) working in a classroom or childcare setting.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Hindi, Punjabi) is an asset.
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
