Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaner Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations within a prestigious residential estate in Jakande Estate, Lekki. This pivotal role requires a meticulous individual with strong leadership skills, an unwavering commitment to hygiene standards, and a keen eye for detail. As a Cleaner Supervisor, you will be instrumental in maintaining the pristine appearance and sanitation of common areas, facilities, and designated residential spaces, ensuring a high quality of life for all residents. You will lead a team of cleaning personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This is an on-site role where your presence and active supervision will be critical to success. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team, ensuring all assigned areas within the residential estate are cleaned thoroughly and according to schedule.
  • Conduct regular inspections of common areas, amenities, and residential units (as required) to ensure adherence to established cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, task assignments, and rotas for the cleaning team.
  • Train new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, safety protocols, and company standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance of all tools.
  • Address and resolve resident concerns or complaints regarding cleaning services promptly and professionally.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring the team uses personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows safe work practices.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on cleaning activities, challenges, and staff performance.
  • Motivate and mentor the cleaning team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with estate management to identify and address any cleaning-related issues or improvements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or facilities management setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices for various surfaces.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing for reports and instructions).
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to cleaning operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SSCE or OND/HND qualification.
  • Certification in cleaning, hygiene, or facility management.
  • Previous experience working in a residential estate or hospitality environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, if operational needs require.
