Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces in designated areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Empty waste bins and transport waste to disposal areas.
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to maintain a sparkling appearance.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in all relevant areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly to ensure timely resolution.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized janitorial storage area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored and accessible.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all cleaning tasks.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment usage.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform duties that require standing, bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and walking for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, preferably in a corporate, commercial, or financial institution setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (basic Portuguese preferred for understanding instructions and reporting issues).
  • Understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) or similar workplace safety regulations for cleaning substances.
