Job Description

Corredor de Desenvolvimento do Norte (CDN) is actively seeking a dedicated Clerical Support Aide to join our administrative team at our Chingodzi, Tete office. This pivotal role provides essential administrative and operational support, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our local office operations. You will be instrumental in managing day-to-day office tasks, handling critical documentation, facilitating internal and external communication, and maintaining an organized and welcoming workspace.

As a Clerical Support Aide, you will serve as the backbone of our administrative functions, assisting various departments with their clerical and organizational needs. Your responsibilities will range from precise data entry and meticulous record-keeping to preparing vital reports, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and handling general inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. This position demands someone with excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with other administrative staff and departmental teams, playing a key role in supporting our overall operational objectives in the vital Tete region. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, faxing, and mailing.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems, ensuring documents are easily retrievable.
  • Input and update data accurately into various company databases and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare and format reports, presentations, and correspondence as directed.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing office calendars.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate personnel or responding professionally.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory, placing orders when necessary.
  • Support with basic bookkeeping tasks and expense report processing.
  • Assist with the welcoming of visitors and providing general administrative support to staff.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role (minimum 1 year)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience with office equipment and administrative software
  • Familiarity with the logistics or transportation industry
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
