Key Responsibilities

  • Assist new clients with the account opening process, ensuring all required documentation is accurately collected and processed in accordance with BMO policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, providing updates on their onboarding status, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Verify client information and documents for completeness and accuracy, performing initial due diligence checks to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Input and maintain client data in various internal systems, including CRM platforms, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, compliance, and operations, to streamline the onboarding workflow and enhance the overall client experience.
  • Provide administrative support to the broader client service team, assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Stay informed about BMO's products, services, and compliance procedures to effectively guide clients and answer their questions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the client onboarding process and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and client satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A genuine passion for customer service and a commitment to creating positive client experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or office environment (can be part-time or volunteer experience).
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry or a strong interest in pursuing a career within it.
  • Experience using CRM software or other client management systems.
