We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Azure, and traditional server deployment to join our dynamic team in Rothwell, Leeds. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, both virtualized and physical, including active directory and group policy management.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime and optimize resource utilization.
- Manage network configurations, including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, and VPNs across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Implement and manage robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements across all infrastructure.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure into application deployments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders regarding infrastructure-related matters.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Solid experience with Azure services (e.g., VMs, VNETs, Azure AD, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Azure Monitor).
- Proven experience with Windows Server administration (2012 R2/2016/2019) including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Proficiency in Linux administration (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls).
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud and on-premise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate/Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
