Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on major platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated provisioning and configuration management.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and infrastructure changes, ensuring agility and reliability.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices, compliance standards, and data governance policies within the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and product managers to integrate application requirements into infrastructure design and deployment strategies.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide expert-level support for critical infrastructure incidents, minimizing downtime and impact.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies, tools, and services to enhance our existing infrastructure and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and operational procedures thoroughly to maintain clear knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including their core services (compute, storage, networking).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Scripting proficiency in at least one language like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog).
  • Deep knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, firewalls) within a cloud context.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with serverless architectures and related services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
  • Knowledge of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and API management principles.
  • Experience working in an environment with strict security and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2).
