Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure across various platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Implement and manage automation tools and scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
  • Respond to and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment and operational readiness.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through effective management and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements for cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new cloud services and infrastructure components.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or SRE roles.
  • Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with database administration (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Prior experience in a high-traffic, production environment.
