In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure, primarily hosted on major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Your day-to-day will involve a blend of proactive monitoring, swift incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous system optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue detection and system health.
- Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues, minimizing downtime and impact.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployments and infrastructure changes.
- Ensure the implementation of security best practices and compliance across all cloud environments.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams to improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents outside of regular business hours.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvement, and cost optimization.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for cloud infrastructure.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of proven experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
- Proficiency with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Experience with serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
- Familiarity with ITIL or other operational frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
