Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our innovative team in Sydney. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a visionary leader who can design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based solutions. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through their digital transformation journeys, translating complex business requirements into robust technical architectures primarily leveraging AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Your role will encompass the full lifecycle of cloud adoption, from initial assessment and strategy formulation to detailed design, proof-of-concept development, and deployment oversight. You’ll work closely with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, operations teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment and successful project delivery. We are looking for someone with deep expertise in cloud services, infrastructure as code, containerization, serverless architectures, and a proven track record of solving complex architectural challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
- Develop detailed solution designs, including diagrams, documentation, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams during implementation.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to determine their applicability and impact on current and future solutions.
- Ensure architectural designs adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and compliance regulations.
- Create and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates for automated deployment and management.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and other architects to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback to continuously improve solution quality and efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, advising clients and internal teams.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 4 years focused on cloud solutions.
- Deep expertise in at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing IaaS, PaaS, and Serverless architectures.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Professional-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns and APIs.
- Knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, and AI services in the cloud.
- Previous consulting experience working with diverse clients.
- Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud strategies.
