Key Responsibilities

  • Execute meticulous cleaning and preparation of fresh ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing a variety of vegetables, fruits, and other produce as per recipe specifications and chef instructions.
  • Assist in the precise portioning and plating of cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, desserts, and garnishes, ensuring consistency and aesthetic appeal.
  • Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization, regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment to comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Properly store and rotate food supplies in designated areas, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Support the culinary team with various ad-hoc tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude to contribute to overall kitchen efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cold kitchen ingredients and communicate needs to the supervisory staff to ensure adequate stock is always available.
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including food processors, slicers, and blenders, after receiving proper training.
  • Collaborate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff, fostering a positive and cooperative team environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company food safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies and procedures.
