Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately store incoming food products in designated cold storage areas.
- Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of stock levels, including FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Efficiently pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring proper product rotation.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment safely within the cold room.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cold storage facility, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Monitor temperatures within cold rooms and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations, occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, and company procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or store environment, preferably within cold storage.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a cold environment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and fulfilling orders.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
