Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Commercial Pilot to join our growing aviation team based in Forest Heights, Kitchener. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to operate modern aircraft within our diverse fleet, primarily focusing on corporate charter and specialized operational flights across various Canadian and North American destinations. Your role will encompass comprehensive flight planning, meticulous pre-flight inspections, proactive weather analysis, and adherence to all Transport Canada (TC) regulations, ICAO standards, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company aircraft in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, ICAO standards, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, flight planning, weight and balance calculations, and performance analysis.
- Monitor and interpret weather conditions, NOTAMs, and airspace restrictions to ensure optimal flight routes and safety.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC), ground personnel, and crew members.
- Complete and maintain accurate flight logs, technical records, and required documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and participate in regular safety briefings and training.
- Manage in-flight decision-making, including managing emergencies and unexpected situations with professionalism and calm.
- Ensure passenger comfort and safety (if applicable for charter flights) and provide excellent customer service.
- Stay current with aviation best practices, regulatory changes, and continuous professional development.
Required Skills
- Valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Frozen ATPL.
- Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating (ME/IR).
- Minimum of 500 hours total flight time, with at least 250 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- Current Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong understanding of Transport Canada regulations and aviation safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel across Canada and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in corporate, charter, or regional airline operations.
- Type ratings on turboprop or jet aircraft common in business aviation (e.g., King Air, Citation series).
- Glass cockpit experience (e.g., Garmin G1000, Pro Line 21).
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, or a related field.
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
