Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs and cooks with all aspects of food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation, ensuring all kitchen equipment and areas adhere to strict sanitation standards.
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, assist with stock rotation, and report any shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards, ensuring proper handling and storage of food items.
- Actively learn and master various cooking techniques and recipes under the guidance of experienced chefs.
- Support the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure consistent quality and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate and clean basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with all members of the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Contribute to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all items are checked for quality and quantity.
