Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and organize incoming food donations and inventory accurately.
- Inspect food items for quality and safety, discarding any spoiled or expired products in accordance with guidelines.
- Prepare and pack food hampers according to specific client needs and program guidelines.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of food distribution events, including tables, signs, and supplies.
- Load and unload food items from vehicles, ensuring safe handling and transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage and distribution areas at all times.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and helpful assistance to community members during food pick-ups.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food handling regulations and protocols.
Required Skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (11 kg) regularly and stand for extended periods.
