This is a crucial full-time role designed for an individual who takes pride in safe driving, excellent vehicle maintenance, and punctuality. You will be responsible for providing secure and timely transportation for company executives, staff, and occasionally clients, ensuring all journeys are conducted with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport company executives, staff, and clients to designated locations within Lagos and occasionally outside.
- Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and excellent working condition, performing routine checks (e.g., oil, tire pressure, brakes, water levels) daily.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation (insurance, license, roadworthiness certificate) is current, valid, and available.
- Plan efficient and safe routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, intelligently navigating Lagos traffic.
- Adhere strictly to all Nigerian traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or other company items as required, ensuring their safe transport.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, damages, accidents, or incidents immediately to management for prompt resolution.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business, passenger conversations, and proprietary information.
- Be available for scheduled assignments, including occasional evenings, weekends, or public holidays as business needs dictate.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience in a corporate setting
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, traffic patterns, and alternative routes
- Proven record of safe driving with no major traffic violations or accidents
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive driving certification or completion of advanced driving courses
- Experience driving luxury vehicles or executive sedans
- Fluency in English and at least one local Nigerian language (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa)
