Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Monitoring Officer to join our team in Göggingen, Augsburg. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our operations rigorously adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Compliance Monitoring Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive compliance monitoring program across various business units. This involves conducting regular risk assessments, performing thematic reviews, and providing crucial insights to senior management regarding compliance gaps and control effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance monitoring program.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc compliance reviews and risk assessments across all business functions.
  • Identify, investigate, and report on potential compliance breaches and control deficiencies.
  • Formulate and recommend practical solutions to address identified compliance risks and control gaps.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented compliance controls and remediation actions.
  • Stay informed about new and evolving laws, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to our business.
  • Translate regulatory changes into actionable internal policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Provide expert compliance advice and guidance to various departments and management.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance findings, risks, and monitoring activities for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and risk management teams to ensure a coordinated approach to governance, risk, and compliance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or similar role, preferably within financial services or FinTech.
  • In-depth knowledge of German and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., BaFin, MiFID II, AMLD5/6, GDPR).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and advising stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma).
  • Experience with compliance management software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective compliance training programs.
