Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and physically capable Concrete Mixing Assistant to join a dynamic team for one of our esteemed clients operating in the Chimoio Industrial Area. This full-time, on-site role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of concrete production, contributing directly to various construction projects that underpin our region’s growth. As a Concrete Mixing Assistant, you will play a hands-on role in the preparation and handling of concrete mixtures, working closely with experienced operators and site managers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate measurement and loading of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) into the concrete mixer.
- Operate and monitor concrete mixing machinery under supervision, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to mix designs.
- Clean and maintain concrete mixers, tools, and work areas regularly to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Assist with the transport and placement of mixed concrete using wheelbarrows or other equipment as required.
- Perform general labour duties on-site, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, protocols, and equipment operating procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other site personnel to ensure project timelines are met.
- Learn and adapt to new mixing techniques and equipment as required by project specifications.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous manual labour, including lifting heavy materials.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to follow strict protocols.
