Career.zycto is actively seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Pump Operator to join our dynamic construction team in Downtown Grand Rapids. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality concrete solutions for a variety of commercial and infrastructure projects across the city. As a Concrete Pump Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various concrete pumping equipment, including boom pumps and line pumps, ensuring precise placement of concrete on construction sites. You will be instrumental in the success of our projects, working collaboratively with site managers, concrete finishers, and other crew members to maintain schedules and uphold our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate concrete boom pumps, line pumps, and other related equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of concrete pumping equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Set up, position, and break down concrete pumps according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, dispatchers, and concrete crews regarding mix designs, slump, and pour progress.
- Monitor concrete flow, pressure, and consistency during pumping operations to ensure quality and prevent blockages.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and local construction codes.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, daily reports, and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure job site cleanliness and proper disposal of concrete waste materials.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verifiable experience operating concrete boom and/or line pumps.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of concrete properties, mixes, and pumping techniques.
- Proven ability to perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on concrete pumping equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High degree of safety consciousness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects, climb, stoop, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCCCO certification for concrete pump operators.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with various types and sizes of concrete pumps.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
