As a Concrete Pump Operator, you will be a vital member of the construction crew, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various concrete pumping machinery. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain concrete boom pumps, line pumps, and other related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, documenting any defects or issues.
- Ensure the proper setup, breakdown, and cleaning of pumping equipment on job sites.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and concrete crews to coordinate concrete delivery and placement.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and job site-specific safety plans.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical adjustments or repairs to pumping equipment as needed.
- Monitor concrete mix consistency and flow, making adjustments to pump settings for optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations, including pump usage, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Assist with other general labor tasks on site when concrete pumping operations are not active.
- Represent Career.zycto and its partners professionally on all job sites.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience as a Concrete Pump Operator.
- Proficiency in operating various types of concrete pumps (boom, line, trailer).
- Strong understanding of concrete mix designs and pumping techniques.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent adherence to safety regulations and practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACPA (American Concrete Pumping Association) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with diverse construction projects (commercial, residential, infrastructure).
- Mechanical aptitude for advanced equipment maintenance.
