Job Description
Polokana Construction (Pty) Ltd. is actively seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Construction Crew in Likileng, Butha-Buthe. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering critical infrastructure projects that contribute directly to the development and progress of Lesotho. As a member of our Construction Crew, you will be on the front lines, performing essential physical tasks that underpin every successful construction project. Your day-to-day will be varied, challenging, and immensely rewarding, involving everything from site preparation and material handling to assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the general upkeep and safety of the construction site.
We are looking for individuals who possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a desire to learn and grow within the construction industry. While prior experience is beneficial, it is not strictly mandatory; we value reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to follow instructions. You will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, so physical stamina and resilience are key. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties, including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and clearing debris.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, plumbers, electricians) with tasks as directed.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring site safety protocols are followed.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, grading, and compacting earth.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in site meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site foreman or supervisor.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications
