Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with their tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment around the job site.
- Perform general site cleanup and maintenance, including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing materials.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills).
- Prepare work areas by setting up barriers, safety cones, and ensuring clear pathways.
- Dig trenches, pour concrete, and assist with framing, scaffolding, and other structural tasks.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Execute tasks assigned by the site supervisor or lead worker efficiently and accurately.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
