Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated Construction Helper with a focus on scaffolding support to join our thriving team in Agbara. This full-time, on-site role is integral to the successful execution of our diverse construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency from the ground up.

As a Construction Helper specializing in scaffolding, you will be a vital part of our operational backbone, supporting experienced scaffolders and construction teams. Your day-to-day will involve a variety of hands-on tasks, from moving materials and preparing work sites to assisting with the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding structures under strict supervision. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled scaffolders and construction workers with daily tasks.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
  • Help in the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding components (tubes, fittings, boards) under direct supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring pathways are clear and materials are stored safely.
  • Perform general site clean-up duties, including debris removal and waste disposal.
  • Operate hand and power tools as directed and trained.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding task progress and safety concerns.
  • Assist with other construction-related duties as assigned by the site supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25kg).
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience working in an outdoor construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience assisting with scaffolding setup or breakdown.
  • Familiarity with various types of scaffolding materials and tools.
