Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., masons, carpenters, electricians) with various tasks on construction sites.
- Load, unload, and distribute materials and equipment across the construction site.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, clearing debris, and ensuring proper setup.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., shovels, rakes, drills, grinders).
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and grade surfaces as directed.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
- Perform general site cleanup, including waste removal and maintaining a tidy work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans.
- Assist with pouring concrete, mixing mortar, and other material preparation.
- Help with the installation of insulation, waterproofing, and other building components.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and proper function.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
