Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with various tasks.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, jackhammers, saws).
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety regulations and protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman.
Required Skills
- Proven physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and hazards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- High degree of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
