Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, organizing, and clearing debris and obstacles.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials (e.g., bricks, sand, cement, timber) to designated areas.
- Dig trenches, shovel earth, and compact soil using hand tools.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., drills, hammers, saws, wheelbarrows).
- Mix and pour concrete, mortar, and other construction materials.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding and barricades safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform general clean-up duties on site, including waste removal and equipment tidiness.
- Assist in the setup and takedown of equipment and tools.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and senior laborers diligently.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the site supervisor.
