Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas on job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople and other team members with material handling as required.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dollies) under supervision.
- Verify material quantities and quality upon delivery and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned to support project needs.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or general labour is an asset.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
