Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
  • Manage contract negotiations and administration with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Motivate, mentor, and lead project teams to achieve project objectives and foster a collaborative work environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations in the UK.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and schedules.
