Job Description
Are you an experienced, meticulous, and safety-conscious individual with a strong background in construction scaffolding? Masimba Holdings Limited is seeking dedicated Construction Scaffolding Workers to join our dynamic project teams based in Manicaland Province. In this vital, on-site role, you will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient erection, alteration, and dismantling of various types of scaffolding structures that are absolutely critical for our diverse construction projects. You will work closely with site supervisors, project engineers, and other skilled tradespeople to ensure that scaffolding is installed precisely according to project specifications, industry best practices, and stringent local and international safety regulations. This position demands a keen eye for detail, excellent physical stamina, and a deep, practical understanding of scaffolding components, their structural integrity, and their proper assembly and use. Key Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle various types of scaffolding systems (e.g., tube and coupler, system scaffolding, mobile scaffolding) in strict accordance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all scaffolding components for damage, wear, or defects before each use and promptly report any issues to the site supervisor.
- Work safely and confidently at heights, consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and diligently following all fall protection procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, operational procedures, and relevant industry regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with other construction workers, supervisors, and trades on site to ensure seamless and efficient project execution.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and accounted for.
- Actively participate in mandatory site safety meetings, training sessions, and risk assessments as required by project management.
- Assist with the careful loading and unloading of scaffolding materials and other site equipment.
- Proactively identify and report any unsafe conditions, practices, or potential hazards observed on the construction site.
- Perform other construction-related duties as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a scaffolding worker in a demanding construction environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of various scaffolding systems, components, and advanced erection techniques.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex scaffolding designs, blueprints, and safety instructions.
- Excellent physical fitness, agility, and stamina, capable of lifting heavy materials and working safely at heights for extended periods.
- Profound understanding and unwavering commitment to construction site safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as a vital part of a larger team.
- Good verbal communication skills for clear instruction and coordination.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, organized approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal certification in scaffolding erection and dismantling (e.g., CISRS or an equivalent recognized industry qualification).
- Valid first aid certification.
