Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed.
- Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment around the site.
- Prepare the construction site by cleaning debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing tools.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Dig trenches, shovel aggregates, and mix concrete or mortar when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Help with the demolition of structures and clearing of rubble.
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support project progression.
- Adhere to all site safety rules and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg regularly).
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role, even if not directly in construction.
- Completion of a basic safety course (e.g., OSHA 10-hour or equivalent).
