Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a variety of tasks essential to site progress, from material handling and site preparation to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks as directed.
  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently across the job site.
  • Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, clearing obstacles, and setting up work zones.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Perform general site cleanup, including sweeping, tidying materials, and proper waste disposal.
  • Assist with the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, scaffolding, and safety barriers.
  • Follow all company and site-specific safety protocols and procedures rigorously.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth to fine grades using hand and power tools.
  • Support concrete pouring and finishing activities, including mixing, spreading, and vibrating concrete.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid G-class driver’s license.
  • Prior experience working on a construction site.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Working at Heights certification.
  • WHMIS certification.
