Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented Construction Site Supervisor to oversee our ongoing and upcoming projects within Wajir County. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling of workers, allocation of tasks, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections.
- Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and company standards.
- Prepare daily progress reports, manage site logistics, and maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related communications, liaising with project managers, engineers, and local authorities.
- Mentor and train junior staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Address and resolve any site-related issues or conflicts efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure the efficient use of resources and minimize waste on site.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
