Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished, results-driven, and highly experienced Construction Supervisor to take the helm of our building projects within the picturesque and developing area of Irish Town, St. Andrew. This is a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of our construction initiatives, ensuring that projects are completed meticulously on time, strictly within budget, and always to the highest standards of quality and uncompromising safety. You will be the linchpin for the day-to-day management of the construction site, meticulously coordinating various trades, effectively supervising site personnel, and maintaining strict adherence to all project plans, detailed specifications, and local building codes.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities from planning and initiation through to successful completion.
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate the work of subcontractors, craftspeople, and other construction workers effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to project plans, detailed blueprints, specifications, and all relevant local building codes and regulations.
- Implement and rigorously enforce comprehensive safety programs and protocols to maintain an impeccably safe working environment for all personnel.
- Monitor project progress diligently, identify potential delays or issues proactively, and implement timely and effective corrective actions.
- Conduct regular and thorough site inspections to ensure stringent quality control and compliance with established standards.
- Manage site logistics, oversee material procurement, and optimize equipment utilization efficiently to prevent waste.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, detailed progress reports, and all other necessary project documentation.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with project managers, engineers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Train, mentor, and motivate site personnel to foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Participate actively in project meetings and provide regular, concise updates on site performance.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to project schedule, budget, and overall quality.
Required Skills
- Proven and verifiable experience as a Construction Supervisor on significant building projects.
- In-depth knowledge of various construction methods, building materials, and comprehensive safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, effective team management, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decisive decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Proficiency in accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and complex construction drawings.
- Solid understanding of fundamental project management principles and practices.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiar with construction management software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Prior experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methodologies.
