Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties at construction sites, including digging trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, loading and unloading materials.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., drills, saws, grinders, levels).
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with their tasks, following instructions carefully.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and other forms as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents.
- Follow blueprints, instructions, and specifications accurately to ensure project quality.
- Inspect work for defects and ensure quality standards are met throughout the construction process.
- Handle and transport heavy materials and equipment, sometimes requiring the use of machinery.
- Participate in site clean-up and maintenance tasks on a daily basis.
- Report any potential hazards or safety concerns immediately to the site supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Worker or in a similar general labor role.
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong understanding and adherence to construction site safety practices and regulations.
- Physical strength, stamina, and agility to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with crew members.
