Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor duties at construction sites, including site preparation, trenching, and clean-up.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and barricades, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans as needed for project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure project efficiency and safety.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
  • Participate in site meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Construction Worker or in a similar manual labor role.
  • Proficiency in operating basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently when required.
  • A strong commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail, and meeting project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with specialized construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, excavators, skid steers).
  • Certification or vocational training in specific trades (e.g., carpentry, welding, masonry).
  • Intermediate to advanced fluency in English (additional languages are a valuable asset).
