Key Responsibilities
- Perform general construction duties, including site preparation, material handling, and clean-up.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and barricades.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Load and unload construction materials from trucks and transport them to work areas.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams to meet project deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general construction or a related trade.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
