Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction sites.
  • Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
  • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications.
  • Load and unload building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, and other temporary structures.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with their duties.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and potential issues.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in general labor or construction work (minimum 3 years).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of construction procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using common hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, excavators).

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
