Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain containerized application environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of containerized applications.
- Optimize container images and runtime environments for performance, security, and efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance and support to development teams on container best practices, troubleshooting, and migration strategies.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for containerized infrastructure.
- Ensure the security and compliance of container orchestration platforms and container images.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native strategy.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in containerization and cloud computing.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with containerization technologies, specifically Docker.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration, including deployment and management.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, CKS).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
