Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Assist in menu planning, food preparation, and portion control.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the Head Chef.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
- Handle special dietary requests and allergies with care and precision.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
- Receive and store food supplies appropriately to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
