Key Responsibilities
- Develop clear, concise, and engaging copy for various advertising and marketing materials, including digital ads (social media, display, search), website content, email campaigns, brochures, press releases, video scripts, and radio spots.
- Collaborate with creative teams (art directors, graphic designers) to brainstorm concepts and ensure copy aligns seamlessly with visual elements and overall brand strategy.
- Understand and interpret creative briefs to develop messaging that meets client objectives and resonates with target audiences.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels, adhering to established brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy, factual correctness, and relevance of content.
- Proofread and edit copy meticulously to ensure flawless grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
- Stay updated on industry trends, digital marketing best practices, and new technologies to continually enhance copywriting effectiveness.
- Present concepts and rationale for copy choices to internal teams and clients, articulating the strategic thinking behind creative decisions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic agency environment.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (French is a strong asset).
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Copywriter, preferably within an advertising agency or in-house marketing department.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of compelling ad copy, digital content, and other marketing materials.
- In-depth understanding of digital marketing principles, SEO copywriting, and social media content creation.
- Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different brands, target audiences, and platforms.
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
- Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
