Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and proactive Corporate Security Support professional to join our team in Bairro 7, Chokwe. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining the safety and security of our personnel, assets, and operational integrity within our Chokwe facilities. As a Corporate Security Support specialist, you will be the frontline defender, implementing and upholding robust security protocols, conducting thorough surveillance, and responding swiftly to any potential threats or incidents. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of security technologies, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will be instrumental in creating and maintaining a secure atmosphere that allows our business to thrive without disruption. We are looking for an individual who is not only skilled in security operations but also possesses excellent communication skills to liaise with staff, management, and external agencies as required. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, responding to alerts and anomalies promptly.
  • Conduct regular patrols of company premises to identify and address security vulnerabilities or breaches.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as per established protocols.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation related to security operations.
  • Assist with the investigation of security-related incidents, including theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
  • Provide security escort services for personnel and valuable assets as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents.
  • Deliver security briefings and training to employees on best practices and emergency procedures.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of physical security measures and equipment.
  • Manage visitor access control, ensuring proper authorization and identification procedures are followed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military security operations.
  • Proficiency in operating and monitoring CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good physical condition and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge of English.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CSS).
  • Experience with risk assessment and threat analysis.
  • Knowledge of local security regulations and legal frameworks in Mozambique.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Diploma or degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
